He grins wolfishly. “You bought me there.”

We each chortle, the sound mingling with the clink of our mugs on the counter. Mitch’s expression grows severe and he turns to face me totally, his gaze intense.

“Brooke, I like you. I might do something for you. While you first confirmed up in my workplace that evening, so frightened and uncertain of what to do… All I wished was to maintain you protected. Even then I feel I wished to make you cheerful.”

Emotion swells in my chest and I blink again sudden tears. “Mitch…”

“Transfer in with me,” he says abruptly. “Formally. I do know you have been staying on the condominium, however I would like you right here, with me. At all times.”

I stare at him, momentarily surprised. “Are you severe?”

“Utterly.” Mitch cups my face in his massive arms. “I like you, Brooke. I need to get up with you each morning and go to sleep with you each evening. I would like this, us, eternally.”

Happiness bubbles up inside me and I throw my arms round his neck. “Sure! Sure, I am going to transfer in with you!”

“In order that half is out of the way in which, I would like one thing else.” He nods and sits there for a second.

I am so confused. I don’t know what’s on his thoughts and he is not being all that forthcoming. “Okay, what else?”

He stands up and heads towards the bed room after which he is again. He was gone lower than thirty seconds. When he comes again, he is laughing and I don’t know what is going on on.

He takes just a little blue field from behind his again and holds it out to me. “The one thing else is that I would like greater than a roommate. I would like greater than a live-in girlfriend. Brooke, I like you with all my coronary heart. Will you marry me?”

I gasp and my hand flies to my mouth. Instantly I am laughing and nodding. “Sure!”

“So I hope you just like the ring I picked out. Not like me, it is model new.”

She doubles over in laughter after which takes the field and opens it. She gasps once more. “Oh Mitch. It is beautiful identical to you, although.”

He kisses me deeply, pouring all his love into the embrace. I soften in opposition to him, my coronary heart so full it may burst.

“I like you,” I murmur in opposition to his lips. “A lot.”

“I like you too, child. At all times.”
